Vacation Bible School

Howdy out there in weblog land.

I just got finished with the second day of Vacation Bible School.  We have 98 enrolled so far. 

I had an interesting prayer time this morning.  The Lord really showed me that no matter where the kids come from or even how they are acting (which is a big thing for me) I have a responsibility to tell them that His Son Jesus is the only way to Salvation.  I was kind of humbled and ashamed that the Lord had to kick me in the head with this, but I'm glad he did none the less.

In other news Allison is well (still puking though) and we find out if we are having a boy or girl next month (of course I know what I want all ready).

Did you know?  Michael the Archangel fought with Satan over the body of Moses. (Jude) I would like more information on this but even my Theologin brother didn't know much about it.  But I bet someone out there can tell me more.

Round 2

Man what a couple of days here lately!  Good thing I'm a Christian and I understand that though life is hard, God is good.  Brother Mike thinks people get that the wrong way sometimes,  God is hard and life is good.  I'm glad I know the truth of Jesus because it makes these hard days seem easier.

But of course you don't want to hear me ramble, you want results from the first ever championship deathmatch steel cage barb wire tournament.

And here they are.

Superman bested Batman 4 to 2.  Of course I do not agree but I digress.

Spiderman and Wolverine were actually tied so I pulled out my super special vote and voted for Wolverine to put him over the top.  It's Wolverine, he's a killer, Spiderman is just a dork who got bit.

George Washington exuded his military precence over Abe.

Lastly Shakespeare and Leonardo were tied as well so the special vote was cast again and Shaekespeare wins (in a non-descriptive way).

My kids are nuts.  They are disrespectful, rude, and all around mean.  End of the year itis has hit them hard and their teacher is taking it bad.  I have a cold so not only am I sick, but I'm ticked, so I'm taking it out on the kids.  Bless their poor hearts, they never saw it coming.  I hit them with a speech that even my -speeches-that-make-you-fell-ten-inches-tall- Dad would have been proud.  Too bad I had to pull that out of my hat an there are still three weeks until Hawaii.

On a positive note, Jesus is still Lord of all.  He continues to bless my small family.  Allison found out today that she will be getting the Pre-k position she had been praying about.  I guess the Lord wasn't kidding about planning good things for us even while we wait on this Earth for Heaven.
